Day Out at Philadelphia Zoo

Visiting a zoo is always an exciting time for everyone, whether young or old, whether the first time or one of many. So, should you be planning a trip to Philadelphia in your rental bus, don’t forget to take a day to drop by the Philadelphia Zoo.
Located in the Centennial District of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Zoo was the first zoo in the United States, opened in 1874. As one of the premier zoos in the world, there are currently more than 1,300 rare and endangered animals housed in its 42 acres of land.

King of Prussia Mall in Downtown Philadelphia

Unbeknownst to most Philadelphia charter bus visitors who are visiting this wonderful city for the first time, the King of Prussia Mall has been around for a long time....since 1963, to be precise. Because of its mint condition, primary focus of delivering timely goods and services to the locals, people often assume it to be a rather new, modern mall. But no, the mall’s been around for a long time.
The mall is often seen as a top priority shopping destination for shopaholics and for those who are bent on finding the best deals for branded goods. Boasting of more than four hundred different boutiques, retail outlets and restaurants, we are sure even the most hard core shopaholics will find something of their fancy here. In fact, they take pride that some of stores and brand names cannot be found anywhere else in the region....it sort of makes the products and brand rather exclusive since you would have to head over to certain malls and cities just to find the brand.
The King of Prussia mall’s court and plaza, when combined, is known as the largest on this side of the country and they serve as a respite for travellers. To name a few, we think our charter bus Philadelphia customers will love it when they find the time to sop at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s Morton’s and the Cheesecake Factory.
The important thing about this charter bus visit would be finding enough time to go through the whole mall....it IS one of the largest and the hardest part about all of this is that once you get started at the King of Prussia Mall, it is absolutely hard to stop.
Located along North Gulph Road, the location is considered primary and strategically-located...and easy to find. Your Philadelphia charter bus driver will have no trouble finding it at all even if you do not personally know the exact location and direction. If in the event that you can’t find the mall, just let the charter bus driver known that it is merely less than one mile away from Valley Forge National Historic Park and the Convention Center.
Even if you are not heading over to the mall in a large, comfortable rented Philadelphia charter bus, there will be no worries about parking because there is plenty of them....to be specific, there are more than thirteen thousand parking spaces in there.
So, please do make the time to make a quick stopover at King of Prussia for the shopping experience of your lifetime.

The Morris Arboretum, Philadelphia

For those who love fauna and flora, magnificent landscapes and unique sculptures, The Morris Arboretum in 100 E. Northwestern Avenue, Philadelphia is just the place to go visiting in a rented bus – any time, any day. Well, almost any time and any day, because the place is closed on New Year’s, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas days. Not only is this place a favorite place to go for those who love trees and plants, it is also an awesome place for those who love photography to go for great shots of Mother Nature in its splendor. In fact, it is also a perfect place to have wedding photos too.

The Morris Arboretum is open daily from 10am till 4pm, but in the months of April right through to October, they are open until 5pm on weekends while in the months of June until August, they are open as usual but will remain open until 8.30pm on Thursdays. Hence, depending on the day and time that you would like to arrange to visit this place, you need to plan ahead of time if you are intend to go there in a Philadelphia rental bus.

When you go to The Morris Arboretum in a PA rented bus, you can expect to spend at least a few hours there – touring and stopping to admire the beauty of the flowers, plants and the landscapes there as well as enjoying a cup of coffee or tea at the cafĂ© there. The rose garden flourishes best in the month of June (but you will still get to see a lot of beautiful roses when you visit during the other months) and the unique railroad garden is a definite must-see when you are here. This place is very well maintained and taken care of so if your kids like to roam and run around, there is no need for you to worry that they may accidentally step on a broken glass and hurt themselves. The plants and trees are labeled so that visitors will get to learn about what they are looking at. And whether you are a professional or amateur photographer, you can truly put your skills to the test with all the beauty of nature that is around you. You may even find yourself so engrossed in taking photos that by the time you look at your watch, it could be already a few hours already! A visit to The Morris Arboretum almost always make PA rented bus passengers appreciate the outdoors more than they did before they went.

Square 1682

Located just adjacent of Hotel Palomar along South 17th Street, Square 1682 have always been reliable as a restaurant of choice for dinner gatherings, business events and a place for great food, fantastic service and exceptional options for drinks. The good thing about heading over to renting out a room in Hotel Palomar Philadelphia during a weekend getaway is that Square 1682 is just a short walk away.
Curious about the origin of the name? We are sure many Philadelphia charter bus rental visitors are too. The restaurant is sort of a dedication to Rittenhouse Square, hence, the ‘Square’ in the name and as for 1682, that was the year Rittenhouse Square was built by its founding father, William Penn. The restaurant would like to remind each and every single one of their patrons about the uniqueness of Penn’s big ideas and thinking which brought Philadelphia opportunities and fantastic growth.
The restaurant’s setting and ambiance is very romantic and chic hence it would make it not a very kid-friendly restaurant. However, any time of the day, between 6.30am (yes, they open for breakfast too, to cater to Hotel Palomar’s guests) till late at night at 2am. With the long opening hours, Square 1682 makes for a great place for all three meals throughout the day. Being an upscale establishment with sound reputation for delivering top quality customer service, food and drinks, the price is on the high side so, be prepared to pay for the quality that you get during your Philadelphia charter bus rental visit.
‘I was never served coffee in a soup bowl, honestly and that was what happened when I popped by Square 1682 with a client for brunch. My client was equally surprised, it is not a bad thing and the surprise made the name even more memorable after the visit. I am not sure if the culture continues on today,’ noted Samuel who was in Philadelphia with a client for an important exhibition.
The full service bar is expansive both in size, menu and seatings. As far as wine list and concoction of drinks are concerned, they are the mastermind of Jacques Bezuidenhout and Sommerlier Emily Wines. Bezuidehout loves to play with fresh and seasonal ingredients from the market when creating his drinks while Wines picks are often said to be classic and shows her fine value as a person and a sommelier.
So, for those of you who are thinking of coming over to this amazing city for a short Philadelphia charter bus rental visit in a group, be sure to give us a call for more information about our charter bus, coach charter, shuttle bus, mini bus or school bus rental packages.

Child’s play in Philadelphia

Having found yourself in charge of a group of children in Philadelphia, for instance on a school trip, or a neighborhood kids excursion, rent a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus from Bus Rental Philadelphia. Our friendly, personalized service will make your organizing the trip that much easier.
Museums today have changed much of their image from the forbidding, stuffy monuments to human knowledge of years past to family friendly, fun places to visit providing accessible information and easily assimilated education. Almost all museums have a children's section, or interactive exhibits designed for the younger visitor, but have you ever visited a museum designed entirely for children?
The Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park is a museum designed specifically for children. Founded in 1976, and led by Portia Speer, the Please Touch Museum was a started as a pilot project at the Academy of Natural Sciences. Wanting to get away from the traditional “look but do not touch” mentality of current museums and their exhibits, Montessori trained Speer envisioned a place where children could actively participate in the learning process while visiting a museum, where the exhibits engaged their senses, and excited their imaginations.
Using your rental bus to visit its current location in Memorial Hall, the Please Touch Museum opened its doors in 2008 on a totally revamped set of exhibits. The museum’s two floors of interactive zones cover exhibits such as Centennial Exploration, City Capers, Flight Fantasy, Roadside Attractions, River Adventures, Liberty Arm and Torch, and the Dentzel Carousel.
All museum exhibits are designed to be an interactive learning experience for the child. This is achieved through sensory stimulation, storytelling, learning by example, and interactive role play. Co-operative play is also emphasized to allow children to build valuable social and communication skills.
The museum also has a theater where child oriented performances are held. Many of these performances are interactive, inviting enthusiastic audience participation. Art classes are also available at the Please Touch Museum for all children. Held in the Elaine Wideman-Vaughn Room, children and their parents are given the opportunity to participate in a wide ranging selection of arts, from painting, sensory and manipulative art, or all three at the same time!
The Please Touch Museum charges $16 for admission, and is open seven days a week. It is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Groups are advised to call ahead, and group discount tickets are available. To arrange for a rental bus to visit the Please Touch Museum, give Bus Rental Philadelphia a call and allow us to help you with our friendly, personalized service.
