Child’s play in Philadelphia

Having found yourself in charge of a group of children in Philadelphia, for instance on a school trip, or a neighborhood kids excursion, rent a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus from Bus Rental Philadelphia. Our friendly, personalized service will make your organizing the trip that much easier.
Museums today have changed much of their image from the forbidding, stuffy monuments to human knowledge of years past to family friendly, fun places to visit providing accessible information and easily assimilated education. Almost all museums have a children's section, or interactive exhibits designed for the younger visitor, but have you ever visited a museum designed entirely for children?
The Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park is a museum designed specifically for children. Founded in 1976, and led by Portia Speer, the Please Touch Museum was a started as a pilot project at the Academy of Natural Sciences. Wanting to get away from the traditional “look but do not touch” mentality of current museums and their exhibits, Montessori trained Speer envisioned a place where children could actively participate in the learning process while visiting a museum, where the exhibits engaged their senses, and excited their imaginations.
Using your rental bus to visit its current location in Memorial Hall, the Please Touch Museum opened its doors in 2008 on a totally revamped set of exhibits. The museum’s two floors of interactive zones cover exhibits such as Centennial Exploration, City Capers, Flight Fantasy, Roadside Attractions, River Adventures, Liberty Arm and Torch, and the Dentzel Carousel.
All museum exhibits are designed to be an interactive learning experience for the child. This is achieved through sensory stimulation, storytelling, learning by example, and interactive role play. Co-operative play is also emphasized to allow children to build valuable social and communication skills.
The museum also has a theater where child oriented performances are held. Many of these performances are interactive, inviting enthusiastic audience participation. Art classes are also available at the Please Touch Museum for all children. Held in the Elaine Wideman-Vaughn Room, children and their parents are given the opportunity to participate in a wide ranging selection of arts, from painting, sensory and manipulative art, or all three at the same time!
The Please Touch Museum charges $16 for admission, and is open seven days a week. It is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Groups are advised to call ahead, and group discount tickets are available. To arrange for a rental bus to visit the Please Touch Museum, give Bus Rental Philadelphia a call and allow us to help you with our friendly, personalized service.

Shopping In Philadelphia

While the claim to fame belongs to New York and Los Angeles when it comes to nice, large, comfortable shopping malls, the malls in Philadelphia are far more quaint and let's just say that the prices of what you can get there is much more affordable. Despite the large number of malls, there ARE some shopping malls that our bus rental Philadelphia customers love more than the others...and we know this because of the feedback that we get from our bus charter, party bus rental, coach bus, passengers and sleeper coach rental customers and bus drivers.
One of their favorite places to shop at includes Gallery at Market East which opens from Monday right down to Thursday at differing hours. Please look up their website for details about their opening hours before heading over. Bus Rental Philadelphia can help bring you and your family members there for the shopping spree of your lifetime there if wish so. There are even event venues inside the malls, do ask around to see if they cater for your event. As far as bus rental is concerned, you can rely on a professional charter bus company like Bus Rental Philadelphia.
Most interestingly, there are some really affordable shops here and there is also a nice gym. So, if you feel the need for a short gym time, head on over.
For something more up-market, there is Bellevue – just from the name alone, you would know what to expect here. The shining marble flooring never fails to make our bus rental Philadelphia customers feel grand and respected. It is, in fact, one of the city's finest mall and hotel. Nearly all the big brand names are here...Polo Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., and the likes of Williams-Sonoma too. While shopping here can burn a hole in the wallet, eating at the ground floor food court is gentler on your wallet. Our bus rental Philadelphia charter bus customers would merely linger around in Starbucks or do some people-watching in the mall and then have their meals at the food court. Perfect activity for couples too, we reckon and if this what you intend to do, please do give Bus Rental Philadelphia a call for a quote for our charter bus rental, party bus, coach bus, sleeper buses or even our mini bus and school bus rental packages.
