Square 1682

Located just adjacent of Hotel Palomar along South 17th Street, Square 1682 have always been reliable as a restaurant of choice for dinner gatherings, business events and a place for great food, fantastic service and exceptional options for drinks. The good thing about heading over to renting out a room in Hotel Palomar Philadelphia during a weekend getaway is that Square 1682 is just a short walk away.
Curious about the origin of the name? We are sure many Philadelphia charter bus rental visitors are too. The restaurant is sort of a dedication to Rittenhouse Square, hence, the ‘Square’ in the name and as for 1682, that was the year Rittenhouse Square was built by its founding father, William Penn. The restaurant would like to remind each and every single one of their patrons about the uniqueness of Penn’s big ideas and thinking which brought Philadelphia opportunities and fantastic growth.
The restaurant’s setting and ambiance is very romantic and chic hence it would make it not a very kid-friendly restaurant. However, any time of the day, between 6.30am (yes, they open for breakfast too, to cater to Hotel Palomar’s guests) till late at night at 2am. With the long opening hours, Square 1682 makes for a great place for all three meals throughout the day. Being an upscale establishment with sound reputation for delivering top quality customer service, food and drinks, the price is on the high side so, be prepared to pay for the quality that you get during your Philadelphia charter bus rental visit.
‘I was never served coffee in a soup bowl, honestly and that was what happened when I popped by Square 1682 with a client for brunch. My client was equally surprised, it is not a bad thing and the surprise made the name even more memorable after the visit. I am not sure if the culture continues on today,’ noted Samuel who was in Philadelphia with a client for an important exhibition.
The full service bar is expansive both in size, menu and seatings. As far as wine list and concoction of drinks are concerned, they are the mastermind of Jacques Bezuidenhout and Sommerlier Emily Wines. Bezuidehout loves to play with fresh and seasonal ingredients from the market when creating his drinks while Wines picks are often said to be classic and shows her fine value as a person and a sommelier.
